Cardiovascular Perioperative Staff

CV Periop provides pre and post-operative/post-procedure nursing care for the pediatric cardiovascular patient undergoing surgical and/or interventional procedures for congenital and acquired heart disease and specialized surgical cases requiring cardiovascular anesthesia. The nurses in this unit specialize in all aspects of peri-anesthesia care, including:

• Pre-admission testing for cardiac surgery patients
• Preoperative/pre-procedure care for cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology patients and surgical cases requiring cardiovascular anesthesia
• Post-anesthesia recovery for cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology patients and specialty surgical cases requiring cardiovascular anesthesia
