Observership
Children's of Alabama provides various opportunities for observerships. Observerships give students an opportunity to observe nurses and health care professionals for a short period of time to gain experience and perspective.
Eligibility:
- Must be 18 years of age and graduated from high school
- Observerships remain limited in length to 1 day per selected area.
- Agreement for observation link to read only form
- Proof of Immunization
Observership is Not:
- Can not be used for class credit
- Observation as part of employment application
- Requesting internship or volunteer opportunities
Nursing
Children's of Alabama offers shadowing opportunities for students who are interested in a career in nursing.
The Children's of Alabama nursing observation may be for you if:
- You are interested in an observation experience as a nursing student with strong interest in pediatrics.
- You are interested in an observation experience looking at a possible career in health care.
- You are interested in an observation experience desiring experience in a pediatric facility due to limited clinical opportunities through your school of nursing.
