What to Expect in Clinic
During your visit
We are a multidisciplinary team comprised of many different specialties which can make appointments run anywhere from 2-3 hours. Our clinic generally meets most Thursday mornings. During your visit, you may not see every provider every visit, but you can always request to see additional ones as needed. Please come prepared with snacks and other necessities you may need (i.e. extra diapers, formula, etc.).
Where do I go?
Our clinic is held in Clinic 14 which is on the ground floor of the McWane building of Children’s Hospital. Nearest parking is in the Children’s 7th Ave Parking Deck (1600 7th Ave South Birmingham, AL 35233).
When you get out of your car, take the cross walk on level 2 of the 7th Avenue parking deck to walk into Children's of Alabama (McWane building). Keep to your left (To the right, you will see the lobby on the 1st floor). At the first set of elevators on your left, go down to the ground floor (G). Clinic 14 is on your left.
What to bring?
- A valid insurance card and government issued identification
- Medical records from another facility if applicable
- Snacks, drinks, extra diapers and other necessities for you and your child as clinic wait times may be long
