Robert Bashinsky, MDRobert Bashinsky, MD

Dr. Bashinsky is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.A. degree in 1970 and a M.D. degree in 1974. He did his Pediatric internship and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and at U.A.B. Children's Hospital. He has practiced in Birmingham since 1977 and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has served as Pediatrician for the Crippled Children's Clinic (now known as Children's Rehabilitation Services), and as President of the Medical Staff of The Children's Hospital. He is a member of several medical societies and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Bashinsky has a special interest in diagnosing, treating and managing Attention Deficit Disorder and in managing Asthma. He is married with three grown children and attends Third Presbyterian Church where he sings in the choir. Dr. Bashinsky has participated in numerous medical missions trips with Mission To The World to several foreign countries.


Clayton Buie, MDClayton Buie, MD

Dr. Buie graduated from the University of South Alabama (USA) with a B.S. degree in Biology, and earned his M.D. degree at USA in 1987. He completed his pediatrics internship and residency in Mobile and moved to Dothan to practice in 1992. He had been associated with Dothan Pediatrics for 13 years prior to his move to Greenvale Pediatrics in July 2008. He is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of pediatrics.


Annette Cosgrove, MDAnnette Cosgrove, MD

Dr. Cosgrove graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in psychology. A graduate of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, she did her internship and residency there in a combined internal medicine/pediatric program. She worked as a pediatric emergency room physician at Charity Hospital before her four years of private practice in New Orleans. She worked part-time in Birmingham before joining the Greenvale staff full-time. She has taken medical mission trips to Kenya, Papua New Guinea, and South Africa, and Haiti. She is actively involved at Church of the Highlands and enjoys traveling. Most recent trips include to Japan, Iceland, and Costa Rica.


Ian Flaniken, MDIan Flaniken, MD

Dr. Flaniken grew up in Pelham, Alabama. He attended Princeton University, where he received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Doctorate in 2014. He then completed his internship and residency, specializing in pediatrics, at UAB and Children's of Alabama. Dr. Flaniken began private practice at Greenvale Pediatrics- Alabaster in July 2017. He and his wife Tara have one son. He is active in his church, Briarwood Presbyterian, and enjoys playing tennis, viola, hiking, and traveling.


Joseph Jolly, MDJoseph Jolly, MD

Dr. Joseph Jolly attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his B.S. degree, and received his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga. He has practiced pediatrics continuously in the Birmingham area since completing residency in 1997. Dr. Jolly is Board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a Mississippi State fan and owns multiple bulldogs.


Kami Sester, MDKami Sester, MD

Dr. Kami Sester attended Indiana University for her B.S. degree as well as her M.D. degree. She completed her internship and residency at UAB and the Children's Hospital of Alabama in 2001. She practiced pediatrics in Dothan, Alabama for five years prior to her employment at Greenvale. She is Board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Drew Wright, MDDrew Wright, MD

Dr. Wright is from the state of Alabama. He graduated from UAB with a BS degree in Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric internship and residency through the Medical College of Georgia Pediatric Residency Training Program in June 2013. Dr. Wright began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics­Alabaster in August 2013. Additionally, Dr. Wright has a special interest in clinical issues dealing with asthma, allergic rhinitis, and newborn care. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, and he also enjoys the Florida gulf coast and is active in his church, Church of the Highlands.

Victoria (Tori) Anderson, MDVictoria (Tori) Anderson, MD

Dr. Anderson was born and raised in Texas, but has called Alabama home for 15 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University with a BS degree in Biomedical Sciences. She received her Medical Doctorate Cum Laudefrom the University of Alabama School Of Medicine, and completed her pediatric internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at Children’s of Alabama in June 2013. From July 2013 to June 2014 Dr. Anderson served as Chief Resident for the Department of Pediatrics at UAB. She is board-certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In July 2014, she began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Brook Highland. Dr. Anderson has a special interest in community health and school-based health initiatives. Outside the practice of medicine she enjoys traveling, doing home-improvement projects, and spending time with her husband, twins and dog.


Clayton Dugan MDClayton Dugan, MD

Dr. Clayton Dugan is from Grenada, MS and went to Mississippi State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS degree in Biological Engineering. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, and completed his pediatric internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at Children’s of Alabama/UAB in June 2017. Dr. Dugan joined Greenvale Pediatrics-Brook Highland in July 2017. Some of Dr. Dugan’s interest include community service, fishing, hiking, coffee, and Mississippi State athletics. He and his wife, an occupational therapist, have one daughter and two dogs, They are active members at Redeemer Community Church.


David Glasgow, MDDavid Glasgow, MD

Dr. Glasgow is a native of Birmingham and earned his bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College and his medical degree from the Medical College of Alabama in 1968. He interned at Lloyd Noland Hospital, served a three-year tour with the U.S. Navy and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital and UAB in 1974. He has been with Greenvale since its beginning and is Board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served in a number of professional and community organizations, including having been president of the Jefferson County Pediatric Society, president of the Medical/Dental staff at Children's Hospital and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Brookwood Medical Center.


Elizabeth Irons, MDElizabeth Irons, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Irons graduated from University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a major in psychology and a minor in chemistry. She attended medical school at The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her M.D. in 2010. Dr. Irons trained in pediatrics at UAB and Children’s of Alabama. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She went into private practice in Alabaster for three and a half years before joining Greenvale in December 2016.


Darby McElderry, MDDarby McElderry, MD

Dr. McElderry earned a BA in English and a BS in Biology from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, and her MD degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her peditatric residency at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC. After residency completion in 2000, she served on faculty at the University of
Kentucky for three years as Assistant Professor of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, then moved to
Birmingham and joined Greenvale Pediatrics in 2003. Dr. McElderry is board-certified in Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Kelly L McMillian, MDKelly L McMillian, MD

Dr. McMillian graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC with a BS degree in Biology. In 2009 she
received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at UAB in June 2012. Dr. McMillian began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Brook Highland in July 2012. She is Board ce1iified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Jamie Odrezin, MDJamie Odrezin, MD

Dr. Odrezin received her bachelor's degree from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia and her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She served her pediatric residency at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in North Carolina and then completed fellowships in Ambulatory Pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital and Adolescent Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Cincinnati in Ohio. She has a passion for kids with Type 1 Diabetes. She is Board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Bryson Waldo, MDBryson Waldo, MD

Dr. Waldo joined Greenvale's staff in 1999. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1978, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Alabama Hospital. He served his fellowship at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is Board certified in pediatric nephrology and pediatrics. Prior to coming to Greenvale, he was a professor of nephrology and interim division director of nephrology at UAB.


Bill Whitaker, MDBill Whitaker, MD

Dr. Whitaker received his bachelor's degree from UAB and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He served his internship in internal medicine at St. Louis University Group Hospitals and his pediatric residency at UAB Children's Hospital. He practiced 5 years in Pickens County before joining Greenvale. Dr. Whitaker is board certified in pediatrics, a member of the American College of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a founding board member of Mitchell's Place, a school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. He is a member of Alabama Physicians for Life. He and his wife of 37 years have three grown children and grandchildren.

Toren Anderson, MDToren Anderson, MD

Dr. Anderson came to Greenvale Pediatrics in July of 1999. Prior to coming to Greenvale, he served his internship and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1996-1999. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Anderson received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in English in 1992 and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1996.


Dan Carter, MDDan Carter, MD

Dr. Carter graduated from Auburn University with a BS degree in Biomedical Sciences. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School Of Medicine, and completed his pediatric internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at UAB in June 2012. From July 2012 through June 2013 Dr. Carter served as Chief Resident for the Department of Pediatrics in the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. In July 2013, Dr. Carter began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Hoover.


John Cortopassi, MDJohn Cortopassi, MD

Dr. Cortopassi received his bachelor's degree from Spring Hill College and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at UAB and has been associated with Greenvale Pediatrics since 1980. He is Board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His professional and community roles have included Board membership in the Childbirth Education Association of Greater Birmingham and the Parent Advocates -- Down Syndrome, Secretary of the Medical/Dental Staff at Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at Shelby Medical Center.


Brian Dudgeon, MDBrian Dudgeon, MD

Dr. Dudgeon joined Greenvale Pediatrics in August of 2000. Prior to coming to Greenvale, he served a two-year residency at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In May of 2000, he won the Garber Award for the most distinguished resident at Children's Hospital in Denver. A Tuscaloosa native, Dr. Dudgeon received his bachelor's degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College in 1993 and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1997. He has traveled to Zimbabwe and Brazil to practice medicine and is involved in a variety of civic and outreach activities.


Amy McCollum, MDAmy McCollum, MD

Dr. McCollum graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a degree in Biochemistry. In 2002 she received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency in Dallas, TX in 2005, and was Chief Resident from 2005-2006. From 2006-2010 Dr. McCollum served as a Pediatric AIDS Corps Physician in Mbabane, Swaziland through the Baylor College of Medicine. As such, she provided HIV care, treatment, and education to local children and families. In 2010 Dr. McCollum practiced at the After Hours Clinic-Children's South. She began practice with Greenvale Pediatrics in July 2011. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


John Petelos, MDJohn Petelos, MD

Dr. Petelos received his bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and his medical degree from the University of Athens (Greece) Medical School. He served his pediatric residency at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. Dr. Petelos is Board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Julia Stewart, MDJulia Stewart, MD

Dr. Stewart graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham with a BS degree in Biology-Psychology. In 2009 she received her Medical Doctorate from the University of South Alabama School of Medicine in Mobile. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at UAB in June 2012. Dr. Stewart began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Alabaster in July 2012.


Jeffery Stone, MDJeffery Stone, MD

Dr. Stone joined Greenvale in July, 2001. He attended UNC-Chapel hill as an undergraduate and received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at UAB and Children's of Alabama, and then completed two years of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas before coming to Greenvale.
