Strategic Communications and Marketing Internship
Children's of Alabama offers a unique and rewarding intern experience for third- or fourth-year journalism, communications, marketing and public relations college students.
The Strategic Communications and Marketing Internship allows students to gain valuable experience in the field through participation in feature and news writing and editing, media relations, social media, content strategy and development, website development and photography and dissemination of information through internal and external audiences.
The position is in-person and based out of the Strategic Communications office in Birmingham. Students must be able to commit to 20 hours per week. Work hours are generally Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. An hourly wage is offered, and all appropriate office materials will be provided. College credit is available.

Candidates are recruited through referrals, professional organizations and through school-sponsored jobs fairs. Intern candidates are interviewed and hired in accordance with all rules and regulations as determined by Children's of Alabama Human Resources and undergo a thorough background review and drug screening prior to a formal job offer.
