Courtney Lukens Baxley, MD

Dr. Baxley earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University in Biomedical Science and Spanish and her medical degree from the University of South Alabama. She completed her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received the Joe LaRussa Intern of the Year Award & the Michele Romain Resident of the Year award. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the Jefferson County Medical Society. She is married to Charlie Baxley, a lawyer at Bradley, Arant, Boult, and Cummings. They have 2 boys and a girl.


Lisa Conry, MDLisa Brockway Conry, MD

Dr. Conry grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Vestavia High School. She received her Undergraduate Degree from Auburn University with a major in Chemistry. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed her Pediatric Residency at UAB and Children's Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Conry then did two additional years of training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology before deciding to practice General Pediatrics. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the Jefferson County Medical Society. She has three children and lives in Vestavia.


Julie Dennis, MDJulie Marshall Dennis, MD

Dr. Dennis earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Biology graduating Summa Cum Laude. At UAB, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama and then completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, she is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Jefferson County Medical Society. She and her husband Jeremy have 3 children, two girls and one boy, and live in Mountain Brook. She enjoys the excitement of 3 children, traveling with her family and spending time at the lake.


Elizabeth Hodges, MDElizabeth Hawley Hodges, MD

Elizabeth Hawley Hodges is a native of Birmingham and a graduate of the Altamont School. The daughter of a physician and a college art instructor, she earned a B. A. in Art History from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where was named a Wellesley Scholar. She then earned her M.D. degree from the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, and completed her pediatric internship and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Children’s Hospital (now Children’s of Alabama). A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (board certified in Pediatrics) since 1984, Dr. Hodges founded Over the Mountain Pediatrics and served as its managing partner until the practice became part of the Children’s Health System in 1997. She is routinely named to annual “Best Doctors” rankings as one of the leading pediatricians in both Birmingham and Alabama. In raising Will, Eleanor, Jane Latham and Elizabeth, she has served on more parent committees, fundraising benefits, spring and fall festivals than you can count. In her spare time, Dr. Liz enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, singing with the Junior League of Birmingham’s Choral Group, spending time at Lake Martin and traveling.


Elizabeth Luke, MDElizabeth W. Luke, MD

Dr. Luke grew up in Birmingham and attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. She then attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she earned her medical degree. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. She was awarded the William H. Gronemeyer Excellence in General Pediatrics Resident Award during her third year of training. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband, Geoff, have three sons. Dr. Luke enjoys playing tennis, traveling, reading, and running and is always searching for the world’s best chocolate chip cookie recipe.


Virginia Menendez, MDVirginia Logue Menendez, MD

Dr. Menendez attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate education, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in English Language and Literature. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating as a member of the medical honorary Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was awarded the Joe LaRussa Intern of the Year Award during her first year of training. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband, Josh, have three boys.


Melisa Wilson, MDMelisa McGuiness Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson, a native of Huntsville, joined Over the Mountain Pediatrics in 1999. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Chemistry where she was awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Scholar Award from the College of Arts and Sciences. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Children's Hospital of Alabama. She then served as co-chief resident for the Department of Pediatrics before joining OTMP. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband Joe have 3 children and live in Homewood. She enjoys traveling with her family and training for triathalons.
