Plan Your Visit

We would like to take a few moments to tell you how important you and your child are to us. Please allow us to explain a few of the common reasons we see patients and why there might be delays during your office visit. A typical office visit could take a minimum of two hours. Here are a few reasons why:

A child with chronic ear problems may have the following done:

  1. Hearing tested by audiology
  2. Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
  3. If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery, and given pre-and post-operative teaching.
  4. Ear procedure: wax removal, ear suctioning, or ear culture
  5. Post-op visits: suture or packing removal, and/or dressing change

A child with chronic strep throat may have the following done:

  1. Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
  2. If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery

A child with croup/stridor or any voice related problems, may have the following:

  1. Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
  2. Scope evaluations which require special equipment
  3. Education regarding any special diagnosis of the voice box
  4. If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery
  5. May require special airway x-rays or diagnostic test.
