Ava Joye Hays

Spina Bifida, VACTERL

When Ava was born, she was perfectly healthy. After about three months, I started to notice that Ava was not progressing along as she should. She wasn't moving her legs at all and she wouldn't lift her head up if I placed her on her tummy.

Ava Joye's Story

Springtime Allergies

Dr. Amy CaJacob is an allergist at Children's of Alabama. She says spring allergies are due to tree pollen. Tree pollen is carried by the wind, so the allergens are in the air we breathe. In the South especially, tree pollen is evidenced by a blanket of yellow dust covering everything outside. Watch video.
