Thyroid Nodule and Thyroid Cancer Clinic

Thyroid nodules in children are not uncommon, and most of these nodules are non-worrisome. Some of the nodules may be identified as thyroid cancer, but overall pediatric thyroid cancer has an excellent prognosis with proper treatment. The pediatric thyroid nodule program is dedicated to helping families through each step of the process from identifying which thyroid nodules are worrisome, treatment, and long-term surveillance. We work with other specialists including ultrasound radiologists, ENT and endocrine surgeons, interventional radiologists to perform fine needle aspirations (FNA), pathologists, and nuclear medicine radiologists to deliver radioactive iodine therapy if needed.
