Cardiovascular Social Workers at Children’s of Alabama provide vital support to patients and families facing the challenges of congenital and acquired heart conditions. As part of the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center team, they help families navigate the emotional, social, and practical aspects of care during hospitalization and treatment. Their services include emotional support, crisis intervention, and assistance with accessing community and hospital resources such as transportation, lodging, and financial support. They collaborate closely with the medical team to ensure comprehensive, family-centered care.

Cardiovascular Social Workers are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached through the Social Services Department at 205-638-9684.
