Preparing for Your Visit
Please arrive 15 minutes earlier than your appointment time to allow for the registration process. If the child is not present for his or her appointment within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, we will need to reschedule the appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this will help us give timely care to the largest number of patients.

New patients should bring immunization records, all medications, insurance cards,  and any other medical information.

Children with asthma, ADHD, seizure disorder, or other long-term illness should always bring medications to the appointment. This will help the doctor keep our records up to date.

Our Doctors

The doctors at Primary Care Clinic are physicians (MDs or DOs) training in pediatrics, also known as residents, and they are all supervised by board-certified pediatricians, or attendings. Each child has their own doctor and we encourage all families to schedule check-ups and follow-up appointments with your doctor, who has clinic once a week. Our doctors also care for newborns delivered at UAB Women and Infants Center. The resident physicians complete their training in pediatrics by caring for patients in our clinic, as well as in many different areas around the hospital at Children's of Alabama.
