MONTGOMERY (Feb. 15, 2021) – Physicians to Children in Montgomery is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a Children’s of Alabama pediatric practice. Originally founded in 1977, the practice was purchased by Children’s of Alabama in 1996 and relocated to the Taylor Medical Complex in February 2011. Staff, physicians and members of Children’s of Alabama’s leadership attended a socially distanced lunch to celebrate the anniversary on Feb. 9 at the Physicians to Children office.

“In the 25 years since Dr. Bob Beshear sold his practice to Children’s of Alabama, we have enjoyed being a part of the wide community impact and excellent patient care provided by Physicians to Children,” said Sandy Thurmond, vice president of primary care services at Children’s of Alabama. “The practice has grown to seven physicians and a supporting team which provided almost 15,000 patient care visits during the pandemic year of 2020 and over 20,000 visits the year before.”

The practice is located at 470 Taylor Road, Suite 210, in Montgomery. Its physicians are:
