A hospital is no place for a child. We all would rather see children home, going about the business of simply being children. However, there is no question that when Alabama children need specialized pediatric healthcare, Children's of Alabama is where they should be - but only for as long as they must be. Going home, or perhaps being at home, is the essence of our mission and vision - we're about getting kids home.
