Lactation Center
Welcome to the Children’s of Alabama Lactation Services. The Lactation Department, founded by the Auxiliary, serves the Hospital’s inpatient and outpatient population.
The Lactation Department is located on the ground floor of the McWane Building. We provide facilities for breastfeeding, pumping and patient consultations. Lactation Consultants are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for our patient population.
In the Benjamin Russell Building, a pumping/breastfeeding room is available on the 2nd floor Main Street, across from the Meditation Room. The room is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
