Meet Our Partners

This project is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $2.09 million with 20% financed with non-governmental sources. The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement by HRSA, HHS or the U.S. Government.

The services of PATHS are made possible through a contractual agreement between Children’s of Alabama and the Alabama Department of Mental Health, (ADMH) who is the lead awardee of the above mentioned HRSA grant. ADMH contracted with Children’s of Alabama to develop a pediatric mental health care access program for Alabama. That program is now known as PATHS.

Other partners include the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and the UAB School of Public Health (UAB SOPH). ADPH has established telemedicine equipment in their county health department offices. Should a primary care provider in PATHS not have the capability of facilitating a telemedicine visit in their office, the PATHS Care Coordinator can make arrangements for the patient to be seen in the county health department office utilizing their telemedicine equipment. The UAB SOPH Applied Evaluation and Assessment Collaborative leads the evaluation activities of PATHS, developing, guiding, and overseeing all evaluation activities that are required by HRSA.
