Steven Brown, MD

Dr. Steven Brown is a fellowship trained, double board-certified sports medicine physician and the Chief of Sports & Exercise Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Brown specializes in the non-surgical treatment of orthopedic and sports medicine conditions for patients of all ages and activity levels. Dr. Brown also serves as the Director of Orthobiologics for UAB Sports & Exercise Medicine. Dr. Brown employs a multidisciplinary approach and works diligently with his patients to create patient-specific care plans to overcome their injuries and return to health.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Brown serves as a team physician for UAB Athletics, Birmingham Stallions, Birmingham Legion FC, Birmingham Bulls Hockey, Birmingham City Schools, and USA Wheelchair Rugby. Prior to UAB, he served as team physician for the University of Memphis, Memphis Grizzlies, Memphis Hustle, Memphis 901 FC, and Memphis Redbirds.
