Spread Love! Help Children’s of Alabama Patients Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Birmingham, Ala. (Feb. 2, 2026) — You can help make Valentine’s Day extra special for patients at Children’s of Alabama.
Beginning today through Thursday, February 12, you can send free Valentine’s Day greeting cards to patients who are spending the holiday at the hospital. The process is simple. Just visit Childrensal.org/valentines and select one of the three food-inspired card designs. Hospital staff will distribute the cards to patients on Friday, February 13.
Spire, a proud sponsor of Children’s of Alabama since 2017, is sponsoring the card drive. Spire will also match donations made by donors during this drive up to $5,000.
Due to infection prevention control protocols, Children’s can’t accept any in-person gift donations, handmade cards, food or candy, stuffed animals, toys depicting violence, religious items, crocheted or knitted items, or gently used homemade items.
