Pediatrics East celebrates 30 years as a Children’s of Alabama Practice

TRUSSVILLE  - Pediatrics East commemorated its 30-year anniversary as a Children’s of Alabama pediatric practice with a celebratory lunch on July 9th and 10th at its two office locations.

Originally founded by Dr. Vincent Carnaggio in 1957, Pediatrics East was purchased by Children’s of Alabama in 1996 and now operates locations in Trussville and Deerfoot. Together, the two offices provide comprehensive pediatric care to families in Jefferson, St. Clair, Blount counties and the surrounding areas. The practice currently has a combined staff of 11 physicians, serving patients from newborns through young adulthood.

Pediatrics East proudly maintains its recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to reduce costs and improve patients’ experience of care.
