Inside Pediatrics Podcast

BIRMINGHAM - Greenvale Pediatrics celebrated its 25-year anniversary as a Children’s of Alabama pediatric practice on July 14-16 at the three office locations. Originally founded in Hoover in 1974 by Drs. David Glasgow and Donald Palmer, the practice was purchased by Children’s of Alabama in July 1996.

Today the practice operates three offices with 20 board-certified physicians in Hoover, Alabaster and Brook Highland. They serve patients ranging from newborns to college age and provided almost 68,000 patients visits in 2020 despite pandemic conditions.

Greenvale Pediatrics proudly received Patient Centered Medical Home certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2013, and they maintain that recognition at all three locations today. The NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to improve care, improve patients’ experience of care and reduce costs.
