Boiling N' Bragging Celebrates 10 Years of Benefitting Children's of Alabama Critical Care Transport Program

MOUNTAIN BROOK – The first college football tailgate party of the season is set for Saturday, Aug. 18 at Otey’s Tavern (244 Country Club Park, Mountain Brook) from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Browning Trail Cameras and Ample Energy, Inc. present Boiling N’ Bragging, a benefit to help raise funds and awareness for the Critical Care Transport program at Children’s of Alabama.

For the 10th straight year, the 52 clubs of Rotary International District 6860 are partnering with Children’s, Otey’s Tavern and Spectrum Business to host a football kick-off party and low country boil. Guests will enjoy live music, $1 drink specials and kids’ activities. Entertainment will be provided by Lance Taylor and Rockstar from WJOX’s Roundtable.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite college football team colors. Tickets are $25 in advance at BoilingNBragging.org or $30 at the door. Children age 10 and younger are admitted free. The Critical Care Transport team at Children’s of Alabama was established in 1983. The care team works to meet the specific need of transporting nearly 1,000 critically ill and injured children each year by helicopter, jet and ambulance. The team members include highly trained registered nurses and respiratory therapists with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
