Funds raised during Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, August 2 stay local to help Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® help kids get back to being kids

BIRMINGHAM – On Thursday, August 2, participating US Dairy Queen® locations across Alabama will come together for the 14th Annual DQ® Miracle Treat Day. On Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations will be donated to CMN Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

All funds raised at the participating Alabama Dairy Queen® locations will directly benefit Children’s of Alabama. Donations will be used to help save and improve the lives of ill and injured children across the state, like our 2018 Children’s of Alabama CMN Hospitals Champion, Brayden (BB) Butler, 12, who suffered from a traumatic brain injury when he was 8 years old.

Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $2.4 million for Children’s through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign and other local initiatives. Last year, Dairy Queen stores across the state raised $50,969 for Children’s of Alabama.

To help celebrate Miracle Treat Day, fans are encouraged to use #MiracleTreatDay on social media and invite others to join them in visiting a participating DQ location on Thursday, August 2 and help kids get back to being kids.
