BIRMINGHAM – Mountain Brook-based Meta Fitness Studio will host the sixth annual “New Year, New You” reveal party benefiting the Children’s Center for Weight Management (CCWM) at Children’s of Alabama on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

“New Year, New You” has raised nearly $100,000 to aid the CCWM in addressing the needs of one of Alabama’s most common health issues for children and adolescents – childhood obesity. CCWM assists overweight children and helps families establish healthy habits through a variety of services. In addition, “New Year, New You” gives back to someone who deserves, wants and needs to make a lifestyle change.

This year, Alanah L. Melton, of Birmingham, will show off the results of her six-month fitness journey. Melton works at the City of Birmingham and has a 7-year-old son. The party will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. at Iron City, 513 22nd St. S. Birmingham, 35233. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased online. The event will also feature a silent auction, food, drinks and live entertainment.
