Bacterial Infection

In January of 2007, Ann Presley Stewart of Enterprise had surgery for a bacterial infection and spent a week at Children’s Hospital. Her parents, Chad and Rebecca, report that their youngest daughter is completely healthy now – “thanks to God and the wonderful people at Children’s.” The infection seemingly came from nowhere. But doctors at Children’s Hospital were very familiar with the type of infection Ann Presley had. They explained to the Stewarts that, because the joints of young children are so small, it is not uncommon for bacteria to become trapped and cause an infection. The Stewarts took great comfort in both the Hospital’s experience and its caring spirit. “Becky and I were deeply touched by the compassion and care given to our little girl,” says Chad. “We were also comforted by the many staff members who went out of their way to reassure us that our child was in the best of hands. “Children’s Hospital gave us hope and provided excellent care to Ann Presley. For that, we will be forever grateful and know that we are very fortunate to have a place like Children’s so close to home.”
