Leukemia
My name is Javokious Laster. I'm 15 years old and I was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) on August 26, 2007. When we first learned of this at Baptist East and then at Children's Hospital in Birmingham it was very hard on our family. But with our prayers and the prayers of family and friends, also church family, I've been blessed with a longer life. I have a new lease on life and I can share it with the world and fulfill all my dreams. Children's Hospital to our family means life. The staff in every department…I mean it's so amazing how good they make you feel about your care. When you're at Children's you have nothing to worry about— they do it all for you.
