Sagittal Craniosynostosis
Jaxon was born on May 6, 2010. At his 1 week old checkup, it was determined that he had Sagittal Craniosynostosis. This was discovered so quickly because his big sister, Anna, had the same thing. While we were devastated that our brand new baby would be facing surgery, it gave us much peace to know that he would be in the capable hands of terrific doctors at Children's in Birmingham, Ala. Since we went through this already with our daughter, we were well-prepared for what we were facing. Once again, we were blown away by the friendly staff that we came in contact with. While it is always difficult to watch your child go through illness and surgery, Children's made the process as smooth as it could possibly be. My husband and I have two children that are happy and healthy thanks to the craniofacial and plastic surgery departments at Children’s. We are forever grateful.
