Open Heart Surgery
My name is Stephanie Williams. I am a former patient of the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. I was treated there in 1977. I had open heart surgery and I also had tests off and on such as catherizations and balloons done there when needed. At the time I was a patient I went by my maiden name Stephanie Lynn Lemaster. I can still remember when I had some of my test there. Everyone was great and I made friends there with other patients. I sometimes wonder how they are doing. I still have to visit my heart doctor once a year because I have a leaking valve (which is severe), but we are just keeping an eye on it right now, but eventually something will have to be done. I have really enjoyed writing this. The doctors that did my heart surgery were Dr. Bargeron and Dr. Pacifico.
