UAB offers a 3-year pediatric hematology-oncology sub-specialty training program. A rich educational environment and diverse clinical experience lay the foundation for understanding, diagnosing, and managing pediatric hematology-oncology disorders. Sub-specialty residents are exposed to vibrant clinical, translational, and basic science research opportunities. The primary site of this fellowship program is at Children’s of Alabama.
When successfully completed, this program provides trainees with the clinical and academic skills to become Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. The goal of the program is to train academically oriented pediatric hematologists-oncologists who will contribute to the field via excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
