Dr. Nick Smith Appointed to Local Board of Directors
BIRMINGHAM - Nicholas “Nick” Smith, M.D., was recently appointed to the Scholarships for Kids Board of Directors.
Dr. Smith serves as a pediatric otolaryngologist at Pediatrics ENT and Children’s of Alabama. A native Aberdeen, Miss., he earned his B.S. degree in pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Mississippi in 2001 and obtained his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2005. After finishing his internship and residency in otolaryngology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Smith completed his fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He was board certified in otolaryngology in 2011. His career specialty interests include management of airway lesions and pediatric airway reconstruction. Smith was voted UAB “Otolaryngology Faculty of the Year” in 2015. He lives in Hoover.
