Pell City Pediatrics Celebrating 20th Anniversary this November
PELL CITY – Pell City Pediatrics, the first fully pediatric medical practice in St. Clair County, will mark 20 years of service this November. The pediatric practice opened in 1995.
Pell City Pediatrics began as a small office adjacent to St. Clair Regional Hospital with one physician, Dr. Rubini Siddiqui, and three other employees. The practice opened in response to the large number of area children being seen in the Children’s Hospital Emergency Department in Birmingham according to Dr. Siddiqui, and was the first practice in the state to be owned by Children’s.
“Our goal was, and remains, to provide quality primary care to children within St. Clair County,” said Dr. Siddiqui.
Today Pell City Pediatrics boasts three full time pediatricians: Dr. Siddiqui, Dr. Stewart Hill and Dr. Irfan Rahim. Dr. Hill is one of just a few pediatricians in the state who speaks fluent Spanish. The staff also includes several nurses and office personnel. As the community and the practice grew, the office was relocated in 1999 to the current facility located at 2850 Dr. John Haynes Drive. The practice sees more than 1,200 patients each month.
