Saddle Up to Support Ill and Injured Youngsters at Children's of Alabama

ABBEVILLE – Horse enthusiasts will be saddling up to support patients at Children’s of Alabama during the 14th annual Saddle Up Trail Ride sponsored by the Henry County Horse and Saddle Club on Saturday, May 16.

The trail ride will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry County Horse and Saddle Club (2651 County Road 53, Abbeville). The ride will be followed by a cookout. The family friendly event is open to riders and non-riders. Admission is $15 for riders and $5 for non-riders.

All money raised will go directly to support the programs and services provided in the Children’s Hospital Intervention and Prevention Services (CHIPS) Center at Children’s. The CHIPS Center promotes health and healing for Alabama children who have suffered abuse or neglect. The Henry County Horse and Saddle Club has raised more than $73,000 for Children’s through the trail ride since 2001.
