Caring Thru Color Art Event Benefits Palliative and Supportive Care for Families at Children's of Alabama

BIRMINGHAM – The public is invited to unleash its inner artiste by attending Caring Thru Color, a special annual art event that supports the palliative and supportive care program at Children’s of Alabama. The event will be Nov. 4 from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. in the Bradley Lecture Center at Children’s.

Working under the direction of artists from VSA Alabama, guests will paint their own canvases and participate in collaborative works of art while enjoying refreshments. Tickets are $30 per person and available online at

Proceeds from Caring Thru Color will directly impact families who receive care from  Children's palliative and supportive care team.  This specially trained team works with physicians to help patients and families who are facing life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses by assisting them with end of life fears and concerns, maintaining hope, preserving dignity, easing the burdens of care giving and providing experience comfort, care and peace.
