BIRMINGHAM (July 31, 2014) — There’s a blizzard in Alabama’s forecast! Thursday, Aug. 14, is Miracle Treat Day when sales of Dairy Queen’s popular Blizzard® ice cream treats will benefit children treated at Children’s of Alabama.
For each Blizzard treat sold that day, Dairy Queen will donate $1 or more to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a national nonprofit organization that raises money for children’s hospitals. The following thirty-four Dairy Queen locations across the state will participate in raising money to benefit Children’s:

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $100 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Last year, Children’s received more than $46,000 in donations from Dairy Queen to help support research, training and purchase equipment for the state’s only freestanding pediatric medical facility.
