LOCAL RETAILERS WILL PREMIER LATEST FASHIONS TO BENEFIT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF ALABAMA
Patient to Receive Complete Makeover and Model in Fashion Show
(FAIRHOPE, ALA.) - The Children's Hospital of Alabama will host a fashion show and wine tasting on Friday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairhope Yacht Club. The event will display the summer's hottest looks from the area's premier retailers and have fine wines on hand for tasting. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital of Alabama.
The fashion show will consist of this season's latest trends from Cybele's Ladies Fine Clothing and Accessories, The Cat's Meow, The Colony Shop and Utopia. Attendees will be able to collect free items with their swag bag from vendors all over the Mobile Bay area.
Former Children's Hospital patient and Daphne resident Katie Hamlin will be featured in the fashion show with a makeover from The Sanctuary Salon and modeling clothes from Utopia. Seventeen-year-old Hamlin recently spent more than six months in Children's Hospital battling a life-threatening illness.
The Children's Hospital of Alabama is the 10th busiest pediatric medical center in the United States. Last year Children's treated more than 1,500 children from Mobile and Baldwin counties. Children's is one of only about 45 freestanding acute care hospitals of its kind in the nation and the only hospital in Alabama dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children.
