Papa John's Serving Heart Shaped Pizzas to Raise Funds For Children's This Month

Throughout the month of November, Papa John’s is serving heart-shaped pizzas to raise funds and awareness for ill and injured children treated at Children’s of Alabama by donating 20 percent of all sales of its heart-shaped pizzas to the state’s only freestanding pediatric  hospital.

To redeem the offer, customers should visit and enter the promo code “childrenshosp” to receive one large two-topping heart-shaped pizza and a two-liter drink of choice for $12.99. Papa John’s will donate 20 percent of all the sales of the special to Children’s.

“Birmingham is blessed to be able to offer residents excellent pediatric care and Papa John’s feels a civic duty to assist the fundraising efforts of Children’s in any way possible,” said Melody Crowder, Papa John’s Marketing Director.

“The money we raise to treat ill and injured children at the hospital is important, certainly,” said Anna Blanche Pennington, Children’s Coordinator of Community Development, “but raising awareness about the medicine inside the building is just as important and we are truly excited to partner with Papa John’s to do both.”

Children’s of Alabama has provided specialized medical care for ill and injured children since 1911, offering inpatient and outpatient services throughout central Alabama. Last year, families made more than 670,000 outpatient and nearly 14,000 inpatient visits to Children’s from every county in Alabama and from 41 other states and four foreign countries. With more than 2 million square feet, Children’s is the third largest pediatric medical facility in the U.S. and has been ranked among the top children’s hospital programs in the country for the past four years by US News & World Report.
