Children's of Alabama Invites Public to Join Wells Fargo's "Picks for Kids" Campaign

TUSCALOOSA (Aug. 27, 2013) – For the third consecutive year, Wells Fargo will partner with University of Alabama Athletics, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing and Children’s of Alabama in its “Picks for Kids” campaign that will run throughout the 2013-14 football season. As part of the "Picks for Kids" campaign, Wells Fargo will donate $1,000 to ill and injured kids treated at Children's for each pass interception made by the Crimson Tide.

“We have had a great relationship with Children’s for years and we are proud to support the work that they do in our communities,” said Leigh Collier, Wells Fargo Regional President for the Mid-South region. “This is a really fun way for us to get involved.”

Children’s and Wells Fargo invite Alabamians of all ages to participate in the program by making their own pledges at www.picksforkids.org. In two year’s the program has raised $66,000. Funds directly benefit the more than 1,800 children treated each month in Children’s Hearing and Speech Center who receive diagnostic and rehabilitative speech, language and audiology services. Wells Fargo will announce this year’s donation to Children’s just before kickoff of the 2014 A-Day Game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Thompson of Children’s of Alabama. “Wells Fargo has been a great advocate for the children and families we treat, from bringing its famous stagecoach here to give rides, to generous financial support for our medical programs.”
