CHILDREN’S OF ALABAMA INVITES ALABAMA FOOTBALL FANS TO JOIN WELLS FARGO AND MAKE A PLEDGE FOR EACH CRIMSON TIDE INTERCEPTION

TUSCALOOSA (August 30, 2012) – Wells Fargo has renewed its “Picks for Kids” partnership with the University of Alabama and Children’s of Alabama for the 2012-13 football season. As part of the "Picks for Kids" campaign, Wells Fargo will once again donate $2,000 to ill and injured kids treated at Children's for each Alabama Crimson Tide interception of the opposing quarterback's team.
“We have had a great relationship with Children’s Hospital for years and we are proud to support the work that they do in our communities,” said Leigh Collier, Wells Fargo Regional President for the Mid-South region.  “This is a really fun way for us to get involved.”

Children’s of Alabama invites Alabamians of all ages to participate in the program by making a pledge to the program at www.picksforkids.org. Last year Wells Fargo donated $30,000 to Children’s in the campaign. Wells Fargo will announce its donation to Children’s just before kickoff of the 2013 A-Day Game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Thompson of Children’s of Alabama. “Wells Fargo has been a great advocate for the children and families we treat, from bringing their famous wagon here to give rides, to generous financial support for our medical programs. We also think it’s important to note that gifts like this that are donated to Children's of Alabama help kids in Alabama. Many national fundraisers target Alabama for donations, but the funds do not directly benefit children in this state.”
