Pediatric Neurology provides inpatient consultative services at both the Children's Hospital of Alabama and UAB Hospital. In addition, the service administers and directs a 8 bed inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Patient diagnoses covers a range of problems including seizure disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, primary muscle diseases, developmental problems and acute encephalopathies.
The division provides ambulatory services through general pediatric neurology clinics at Children's Hospital and sleep clinics. The research program is investigating basic and clinical problems related to epilepsy, child development, genetics and biochemical diseases.
Appointments are made by physician referral only. For those with appointments, Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Free parking for patients and parents is available.
